I heart brunch!

Tom was nice enough to help me take up my futon to SF for my brother. So in return I bought him and my brother brunch! Went to this awesome place with bottomless mimosas, a great beer selection, and best of all...pork belly donuts with a bourbon glaze! They were AMAZING! I could seriously eat a whole basket of them!

 

Afterwards we went to City Beer which is a great beer bar/store and finally got a bottle of Anchor Steam's Brekles Brown! Yay! Also got to try a lot of other cool beers!

Caltrain Adventure!

Took the Caltrain from Kat's apartment to downtown Mountain View! Checked out a wine bar which was really cute and seemed like an ideal date place! haha! Then went to another bar that had a cover but since we're such lovely ladies, we didn't have to pay cover! Woohoo! It also was Latin night which was totally random!

We were planning on getting late night dim sum but we failed! Now I'm super craving some dim sum! haha!

Lemondrops!

Went up to the East Bay to meet up with Tom's friends and had a wonderful time! We let the guys hang out on their own, and us girls decided to cause a ruckus! haha! We invented a great game and drank way too much!

Bootcamp is the worst!

24 Hour Fitness is having special Olympics themed bootcamp classes so I went to check them out.

Different classes focus on different Olympic sports. Today's class was based on track so we did lots of circuits and running around!

It was exhausting but definitely a great workout!

Mini Golf!

I took my little cousin to Golfland today for a fun filled evening! We shot a round of mini golf and she got a hole in one on the first hole! Then we ate some pizza to re-energize for a round of arcade games! We won a lot of tickets so we could get a bunch of random trinkets like fuzzy dice and a mood necklace! haha!

Panda!

Panda Express had a grand opening party and gave away free food! So I went to check it out during lunch and look who I ran into! Mr. Panda Express himself!

For dinner, Tom and I made a casserole that was super yummy! Who knew I could make something without a recipe! Haha!

Afterwards, met up with Rick and others to get some drinks at Yardhouse! Yay Rick is back in town!

BFFs!

Jacoby finally found someone to match his energy level! My 8 year old cousin! haha! They had a blast playing together and running around! If only she was around everyday to tire him out! haha!

Ugh...a loss after 14 innings after a rain delay is brutal!

Doggie Haircut!

Took Jacoby to the groomers today! Doesn't he look adorable?

I took the picture after I took off the bow. His groomer always puts a bow on his head even though he's not a girl! Haha! Poor Jacoby!

P.S. The Red Sox are UNSTOPPABLE! Wahoooo!

We're so handy!

Or not! haha! For some reason, Kat and I never seem to have a wine opener. So we turned to the internet for help but ultimately failed! Luckily 7-11 was a 2 min walk! haha!

Had a great girls night and even though we had grand plans of roaming around downtown Mt. View, we ended up drinking lots of wine and eating fast food at her new, lovely place!

Brownies!

Went to Whole Foods as I always do on Fridays and look what I found!!! Fat Witch Bakery Brownie mix! I normally like to bake from scratch but these were one of the best brownies ever! I went to Chelsea Market in NYC just for this place when I first went to New York! I can't wait for the weather to cool so I can bake them up!

Ticket Mania!

Had a wonderful fun-filled day off! Took Jacoby to his training appointment which was good. We both learned a lot and I was told not to baby him too much! haha! Darn!

Afterwards I took my little cousin who's visiting from San Diego out to a movie! She really wanted to go to Happy Hollow Park & Zoo but it was just too hot to be outside. So I let her choose a movie and she chose Zookeeper! haha! It wasn't bad actually! Maybe that's the heat talking but I enjoyed it! After the movie I bought her a pair of Converse (she has a collection and she's only 8! Geesh!).

 
Then I was off to meet up with Tom to go watch Avenue Q! We bought discounted tickets so we weren't sure where our seats were. We were happily surprised that we got the front row!! Apparently they were the best seats in the house! Lucky us! I highly recommend seeing it. So funny!

My Sweetie!

Taking the day off tomorrow to take Jacoby to a trainer! I'm really excited! It's just so he and I can learn better ways to manage Jacoby's hyperness and his high energy!

I'm sure he'll be an A+ student! haha! <3

Cream puffs!

Beard Papa's! They're mini ones so you don't feel so bad eating them! haha!  And the container is so cute! I'm glad there's still a Beard Papa's in the South Bay!

More BBQ!

Went up to SF for more BBQ! My brother's roommate just got a smoker so of course I had to check it out. My brother smoked a pork shoulder for over 8 hours! It was delicious! Also, his friend brought homemade BBQ sauce that went great with it.

Tom and I brought up a rack of ribs which we grilled too and I think Gio was the most pleased! I tried to give him some meat off a rib bone and he ended up grabbing the whole thing out of my hands and ate the actual bone! haha!

Plus everyone polished off a whole case of wine! haha!

BBQ & Doubleheader!

Went to the Bay Area BBQ Championships and then the A's doubleheader with Tom!

We got to try a lot of BBQ and vote for the one that we liked the best for People's Choice! It was a tough decision but we were more than willing to oblige!


And thanks to Tom's friend for giving us a pair of tickets so we could leave between games. They were great seats and it allowed us to go get more food and get more beer! haha!

It was a great day of eating lots of good food, drinking a lot, and getting too much sun!

Boring Day!

Nothing really exciting happened today! The best part about Fridays (besides the weekend approaching) is that I get to go to Whole Foods for their Friday deal!

But what's even better is when I find out they have other sales too like on my favorite Rainier cherries! Yay!

Bastille Day + Neon Trees = Yay!

Happy Bastille Day! I'm not a big celebrator of this holiday but Tom's family is! His parents had a wonderful get together filled with lots of French food and yummy pastries! The eclairs and cream puffs were delish!

 

After the Bastille Day celebration, I met up with friends to see the Neon Trees concert at Music in the Park in downtown! And since it was Bastille Day and all, I had to class it up and bring juicebox wine! Haha! The concert was great, even though it was super packed, and went bar hopping in downtown afterwards! As Kat says, it's always an adventure with us! haha!

Gio Time!

Tom had an off-site meeting so I got to look after Gio today! We had a great day hanging out at work!

Gio's new favorite thing is to sit in my lap! Haha! It takes a few minutes for him to get comfy but once he's on my lap, he dozes off! So funny! He probably thinks he's a little lap dog like Jacoby!

Go Quakes!

It was a lovely day to watch a soccer game! Went to the San Jose Earthquakes game yesterday with Tom and had a great time. The Quakes won 2-1! Even got to witness an amazing goal! I've never seen a goalie score a goal before! So cool!

One of the best parts about the game is that there are always food trucks! Yay!

Home Run Derby!

Watched the Home Run Derby today! I actually really look forward to it every year! Plus I liked the whole AL vs NL aspect and obviously loved David Ortiz being the captain for the AL!

I was rooting for AGon in the finals but Cano pulled it out and I was actually happy for him. He had his dad pitching to him and he was hitting absolute bombs!

Fun in the city!

I was a total fail and forgot to take any pictures to document my day! So I get to put my great drawing skills on display again! Hahaha!

I went up to the city with Tom so his dog could meet his brother's dogs.

Afterwards my brother met up with us and we went to Toronado for some awesome beer and then Rosamunde for some sausages! We then grabbed a few more drinks to round out the evening!

Fun filled day!

Had a great Saturday hanging out with Kat and Anh Thi!

In the early afternoon, I accompanied Kat to her coworker's bday BBQ at a park. The highlight of the BBQ were these little mini cupcakes her friend made all by hand!

Then we went to cheer on Anh Thi at her paddling race!

They didn't win a medal but it was still fun to watch and cheer her on!

Then randomly I checked Twitter and found out there would be some food trucks at New Park Mall for the Summerfest event. So on our way home we checked it out. Got some awesome BBQ Nachos from the Grill All Stars truck (I think that was their name) and even got self serve frozen yogurt from a food truck called Twisted Chill!

Afterwards we went back to Kat's place to help her pack! Anh Thi and I were there for moral support and to help drink wine! haha!

I love garlic!

 

Had a nice light Friday night dinner with Tom. We had some great bread with balsamic vinegar along with sauteed shrimp with lots of garlic! We also had some corn on the cob! And of course some great Spanish wine! It was like our own version of tapas!

Back on top!

Yesterday's Red Sox game was awesome for a few reasons!

First, they hit 6 home runs! And 3 of them back to back to back! Squuuuueeeeeeee!

Second, the gigglefest of DO and Remy was in full force after the boob grab incident! Hilarious!

Third, the Red Sox are back in FIRST PLACE! Wahooooooooo!

Cheeeeese!

I went to the dentist today and I had to confess something to her! I don't floss regularly! She was not happy about that. Haha!

So now my new goal is to floss daily! :D

(Yes I know this is an exciting post! I think one of my best! haha!)

I am really not a summer person. This heat is killing me! Luckily there are things like this frozen yogurt to keep me cool! This is also not just any frozen yogurt! It's called Wow Cow from the Willow Glen Frozen Yogurt & Ice Cream Company and it's only 9 calories per ounce! Amazing!

Happy Birthday, Grandma!

Ohh and also Happy 4th of July!!!

Had dinner with the family for my grandmother's birthday. Had chinese food and was excited for my fortune cookie! I opened it up and was thrilled to see 2 fortunes because that had to mean I was super lucky! However, they were the same exact fortune! What a buzz kill! haha!

 

Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! I definitely heard fireworks but unfortunately didn't see any! Booooooo!

4th of July Eve!

What's a better way to celebrate 4th of July than to have ice cream cake! Yay!

Had a great bbq at Tom's sister & brother in law's house! Yummy food and good drinks! And of course we had ice cream cake!

One thing I did not enjoy was the heat! Ugh! This heat has got to stop! I am seriously melting away!

The best part of it all is that I don't have to get up early for work tomorrow! WOOHOO!

Silly dog!

Spent the day hanging out with this little rascal!

I think I tired him out because he only does the frog legs when he's super relaxing! haha! We went to the park where he tried to meet Gio which didn't go great...as my friend said...Jacoby is a fiesty blabbermouth so he was not being friendly!

Afterwards went to eat lunch and brought Jacoby along! Had a fun filled day!

Dinner of champions!

Didn't have anything to eat at home so I had to just drink wine as dinner! Which worked out wonderfully! Haha!

This one was in the case of wine that my brother brought me and it turned out to be a good wine. First I thought I didn't like it but after awhile I ended up really enjoying it!

What a great dinner! haha!

Also enjoyed drinking the wine while watching the Red Sox game! I can't believe they almost lost to the Astros! Good thing they pulled through! Otherwise I might've had to break into another bottle of wine! haha!
