Love trying new restaurants!

Once I heard Hay Market opened up in downtown Willow Glen, I knew it would be a type of restaurant that I would like! They are an organic, farm to table restaurant that uses local produce!

I had heard a lot about their BLT sandwich so of course I had to try it. It was delish! One of my favorite parts of the restaurant was the farmhouse decor. Definitely will go back there again!

Just hanging out!

Went running today with Tom's sister and afterwards just hung out with everyone including Gio!

He wanted to cuddle with me! Awww! Such a cutie! Look at that face!

Also, I didn't realize how white my legs! I'm so pale! haha!

Not much going on today! I spent the evening hanging out with Jacoby! Time well spent!

Running Calendar!

I've really been getting the hang of running! I even woke up at 7am to go running today! Gasp! haha!

I really hate it when I start but once I'm done, I'm really happy with my progress!

This is my high tech way of keeping track of my running!

Korean Culture Festival and Speakeasy Anniversary Party!

Had another fun day in San Francisco! There was a Korean Culture Festival in Union Square with performances and yummy Korean food! Tom and I watched some Tae Kwon Do performances and also some folk dancing. 

Afterwards we went all around the area looking for an open bar but had the hardest time finding a place open at 12:30pm on a Sunday! Lame! Finally we found a place open! Went to Postrio for a drink then headed over to the Speakeasy Brewery for their anniversary party and met up with my brother and his friend. Had a lot of really good beer and beer cocktails and some yummy burgers from the Le Truc food truck.

Afterwards we went to dinner with Tom's brother and his sister in law at a really good Thai restaurant!

It was a day filled of good food and good booze! haha!

Funny beer!

Went to Bevmo today to get some beer for tonight and found one with one of the funniest brewery names ever!

It's brewed in Fort Worth, Texas and was actually very good. Definitely recommend it! Not only for the awesome name but for a very good beer!

Good thing I had beer to forget about the Red Sox game tonight! Ughhhh! ::pounds head on table::

Gonzo!

Adrian Gonzalez is on fire! 5 homeruns in 3 games! Also he is now over 100 RBIs!

Flat Blondies!

Had the urge to bake so I made some blondies! I didn't have the right square pan so I had to improvise and use a cookie sheet. But they came out awesome! They're like brownies but flatter so it's like a super chewy cookie! I had to stop myself from eating the whole tray of them! haha!

Fantasy Football!

Had my 2nd fantasy football draft today! I did autodraft for my first team so I wanted to make sure I was around for my 2nd league.

I'm really excited for the NFL to finally start! Due to the whole lockout thing, I haven't really been paying attention. So I'm ready to start avidly following all the NFL happenings! haha!

New favorite frozen yogurt!

I've always been loyal to Pinkberry and never wanted to try any other frozen yogurt places. However, I've been hearing about Yogurtland so that was our reward after running!

And I was sold even before trying the actual frozen yogurt because of their cute cups and spoons! Hello Kitty themed!! SO CUTE!

Live music is always fun!

Tom and I met up with Nick at O'Flaherty's. They had live Irish folk music which was actually really cool. Nick is going to Boston for the first time so I was more than happy to let him know of all the cool spots to go! Afterwards, Nick and I went to Los Gatos Bar & Grill to have another drink and eat some snacks!

Girls Night!

Kat's friend Becky had box seats for the SJ Giants game so I couldn't pass on the opportunity! The seats were awesome! We of course enjoyed the awesome BBQ at the game!

Afterwards we went to a wine bar in Campbell at the Pruneyard. It was super cute and I'd definitely go there again. Overall, it was a fun girls night!

Bowling Champion!

 
Today everyone at the office went bowling after work! Of course I had to put together a prize for the winning team! I went to Diddums (a party supply store that I absolutely adore!) and found cute knick knacks and best of all...medals!

And guess who's team won! MY TEAM! Wahoooooo! So exciting! Disclaimer: I had the lowest score on my team but good thing my team members did well! haha!

Had a fun time and I will definitely wear my medal to work on Monday with pride! haha!

I love sales!

Went shopping with Kat today and all the summer clothes are on sale! Found a top at Banana Republic that I returned on sale so I had to re-purchase it! haha!

I am loving all the fall colors and cannot wait to wear sweaters and boots again!

Party Poppers!

My brother had given me a box of 75 party poppers and I had no idea what to do with them originally. Then I realized what fun toys they would be for Tom's nephews! I'm sure they're harmless and any 6 and 4 year old will know not to pop them at each other or in their face....right? The poppers were of course a huge hit but are being rationed by their parents! Which is probably a great idea! Haha!

Running training!

Today was day 2 of my training for the Bridge to Bridge 12k! I ran with Tom, his brother, his sister, and Gio! I was the slowest but did meet my goal so I'm proud of that!

We ran along the Los Gatos Creek Trail which was very lovely! Great views and plenty of shade! I think this was the first time I've been excited to run! haha!

Catching up with friends!

Had dinner with Crystal, Jen, and Jen's friend (I am so terrible with names!). It was great seeing them and being able to catch up! We went to Pizza Antica (one of my favorites) and we got dessert at Cocola!

I was so full from my pizza but everytime I go to Cocola, I can't resist any of the pretty desserts!

Hopefully we can meet up more often and eat more yummy desserts! haha!

Couch potato!

I was a total couch potato today! Luckily Jacoby is a great couch potato companion! I love days where I can catch up on my DVR!

I love weddings!

 
Weddings are so fun! Tom's friends Malik and Marissa got married at a country club in Los Gatos. It was a lot of fun! I loved that the ceremony was nice and short since it was outside! Marissa's dress was gorgeous and even the bridesmaids dresses were pretty!

The food was great and there was plenty of champagne, wine, and beer! The views outside were amazing. We met a lot of really nice people. Overall it was a great wedding!

A night in!

Had a Friday night in with Tom and Gio!

We had grand plans of making a fancy shrimp dinner but my mom made some Korean bibimbap burritos for us. So we had that instead!

3 girls + 3 bottles of wine = trouble!

Campbell Music in the Park is sooooo different from San Jose's music in the park! The main difference, and the best one, is that you can have open containers in the park! So people bring food and drinks. A lot of people go all out and bring tables and stemware! The crowd is definitely older but we still had an awesome time. Note to self: Make sure to get there early next time!

Afterwards we went to Sonoma Chicken Coop since there was also a live band. They were really good! But before that, we had to finish our bottle of wine. Hence the squatting and hiding behind an alleyway! haha!

What to wear!

Tom and I went shopping to find outfits to wear to Tom's friend's wedding this Saturday! But before the shopping could happen, we went to the Yardhouse to take advantage of their happy hour! And this time, we only had to wait about 10 min! Finally the hype is dying down!

Afterwards we roamed around Santana Row. Tom bought some really nice slacks at Brooks Brothers and I tried on a couple of dresses at Anthropologie but I couldn't find anything! Now I have 3 days to find something to wear! Yikes!

After we were done shopping we had to stop by Pinkberry! The highlight of the night! Yummy! They have this new salted caramel flavor that is very tasty!

My dog is so weird!

 
My dog has mastered the art of lounging! He sleeps in the weirdest positions! It looks so uncomfortable but he was laying/sleeping like that for over an hour! Haha! And this isn't the first time he's laid like that! Always entertaining with that little rascal!

Minor League Baseball!

Went to the SJ Giants game (Single A affiliate of the SF Giants) with Tom today! They occasionally have free ticket games so we couldn't pass up this opportunity. Plus there's a reason why I love going to SJ Giants games...the BBQ! Some of the best BBQ around! Yummy!

Also as a bonus, Barry Zito was pitching! I kind of felt sad seeing him at the single A level but also pretty cool to see him pitch!

What a freakin game!

Red Sox/Yankees games are always so stressful! I swear I have near heart attacks and rage filled rants every at bat! The game went into extra innings and as ESPN mentioned a billion times, it was a long game!

But it was all worth it because they WON tonight and are in first place again!! Squeeeeeeeeeeeee! ::dances::

Sun Filled Day!

Had a wonderful day full of sun! Went to a BBQ for a local congresswoman courtesy of Tom's parents. I also brought my mom and brother and got to introduce them to Tom's family, which was wonderful! Had great food grilled by the San Jose Fire Department!

In the evening, took my dad and brother to the San Jose Earthquakes game again courtesy of Tom!

I was super excited because it was Wondolowski bobblehead day! So now I have a bobblehead to match my Wondo shirt!

Now I can be a good fan! haha!

Happy International Beer Day!

Yes that's a real thing! haha! Celebrated by drinking a few beers and cooking a great dinner! Well Tom did most of the cooking but I was great moral support! Started off with artichokes which were yummy and then cooked a T-bone steak. I must say, I really love the meat quality at Whole Foods!

Music in the park!

 
Went to see Dredg in downtown San Jose for Music in the Park! Had a great time with everyone...as you can tell from the picture! haha! It was good to hang with some old friends that I don't normally see and it was fun to hang with Rick before he left to go back to Boston! (Thanks Rick for taking this lovely picture! haha!)

Aren't kids adorable!

Today I helped Tom babysit his 2 nephews, ages 6 and 4! We cooked a yummy bacon mac and cheese for dinner that the boys loved as well. Then I helped Owen, the 4 year old, make his family out of playdoh!

Looking at the pic, the playdoh family looks kind of creepy. Something out of a horror movie! haha! Crazy kid!

We also watched Mega Mind which I've already seen but still enjoyed it a lot! So did the boys!

Lifetime supply of cookies!

I'm not sure why anyone would ever need these many animal cookies but the container was just way too cute to pass up!

It'll probably take me months to eat all these cookies but it'll be worth it for the container! haha!

Healthy Cooking!

I made my own version of pasta primavera today! As you can see, I didn't have any green veggies so it's a little monotone! haha!

Either way, I think it turned out yummy and I hope Tom likes it too since this is going to be our lunch for tomorrow!
