BBQ!

Had a work BBQ today for a couple of reasons! One of our coworkers was leaving on maternity leave and also for Tom and I's engagement!

We got some ribs from Whole Foods (love their Friday deals!) and got tons of sides and even dessert! Ate wayyyy too much! haha!

Run run run!

Bought new running shoes for the Bridge to Bridge race this Sunday! I actually went to a real running place so I could get the perfect pair for my feet and running style! I guess I'm officially a runner now! Sort of...!

The end of the Red Sox season was heartbreaking. Totally gut wrenching. I fear for the brutal offseason.

On the other hand, I won in one of my fantasy baseball leagues. So there's that!

Pumpkin!

Tom and I drank a lot of pumpkin ales while in Boston so naturally I requested Tom to brew his own pumpkin ale!

We took the inspiration from Dogfish Head to hopefully brew an even better one!

So much to plan!

Tom's sister in law was nice enough to pass along her wedding planning books! Looks like I'll have wedding fever for 9 months! So much to do!!

Now and Zen!

Kat, Anh Thi, and I went to the Now and Zen concert in Golden Gate Park! Alice 97.3 was hosting the free concert where Michelle Branch and Goo Goo Dolls performed! It was super fun even though it rained a little bit!

After the concert, we went to my brother's place for some BBQ! Yummy!

Celebration time!

Went out to lunch with Tom to celebrate our good news!

Checked out the new San Pedro Market and I really like it! Plus the pizza place is awesome! I'm glad downtown has something like this now!

Present for Gio!

I didn't want Gio to get jealous from all the presents that Jacoby got so I had to get him a present too!

Happy Birthday Jacoby!!

My sweetie turned 2 today! I can't believe he's 2 already! I feel like I just got him! Time flies when you're having fun! haha!

For his birthday I got Jacoby a ton of new treats and a brand new toy! He loved it so much he took the squeaker out! haha!

Post Vacation Treat!

I've had a super craving for shaved ice and I found out that the Korean food court on Lawrence Expressway sells them! This one was banana flavored and had chocolate syrup! Kind of like a Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey! So good!

Bridge to Bridge!

Look what was waiting for me while I was in Boston! My bib and time tracker for the Bridge to Bridge race!

I've totally been slacking on my running training but still really looking forward to it! Hopefully I can finish in the allotted time! haha!

Boston Day 4!

It's our last day in Boston! So sad! In order to maximize the time on our trip, we checked in our bags at Logan super early (we actually had to wait about 15 min. because we were too early!) and then headed over to Harpoon Brewery for the tour and tasting. It's a much more thorough tour than Sam Adams and you definitely get more free beer! It was a great way to finish the trip! Until next time, Boston!

Boston Day 3!

Even though I've done the Fenway tour several times, everytime I go to Boston it's something I look forward to! It's such a beautiful ballpark and since I only see it once a year, it's something really special! We had gotten the batting practice tour but unfortunately the players were not taking batting practice at that time. So in return, we got to go onto the field! It was SO EXCITING! I was on the same field as the Red Sox! Amazing!

Afterwards, met up with more friends! Besides going to Fenway, the best part about Boston is to meet up with all my wonderful friends!

Boston Day 2!

Today was filled with walking and more walking! Since it's Tom's first time in Boston, I had to take him to walk the Freedom Trail! I forgot how long the walk is! But our goal for the day was to make it to Bunker Hill Monument!

And we made it! Well I barely did! Haha! Unfortunately the monument was closed by the time we got there so Tom couldn't walk up with the 200+ steps. Boy was I bummed! NOT! haha!

Afterwards we met up with some Red Sox friends and had a wonderful evening watching the game and catching up!

Boston Day 1!

We did so many things on our first day here but the highlight will be going to Fenway! Even though it was cold, rainy, and a loss, it was still AWESOME!

Here I come Boston!

I have my itinerary and ready for Boston! So excited!!!

And yes I make itineraries for every trip, even if I've been there before! haha!

Packing!

Even though it's just for a long weekend, I have to make sure to have my handy dandy packing list! I plan all my outfits as well to make sure I don't forget anything! haha!

Bacon Bacon?

Finally got to try the Bacon Bacon food truck and I had mixed feelings. First of all, the line was INSANE! Granted, I did choose to stand in the ridiculous line but still!

They even ran out of food towards the end. When we finally got our food, I must say I was disappointed. It was super salty and greasy! My stomach was not happy with me afterwards.

So my official grade for the Bacon Bacon food truck is...meh!

Football Sunday!

The first Sunday of the football season! So exciting! Went to watch part of the night game with Tom at Rock Bottom! They had a really great 9/11 tribute. I still can't believe it's been 10 years already. Never forget.

Girls Night Out!

Met up with Kat, Jackie, and Debbie for girls night out! Had dinner and drinks at Yardhouse then we all rallied and went bar hopping in Santana Row!

It was fun to people watch! haha!

Oyster Farm!

Took the day off from work to go to Drake's Oyster Farm with Tom and my brother! We drank 4.5 bottles of wine and polished off 3.5 dozen oysters! haha! We also picked up some cheese from Cowgirl Creamery on the way to Drake's and BBQ'ed some sausages! Afterwards we went to Beer Revolution in Oakland to meet up with some of Tom's other friends to finish off the night!

Apples to Apples!

Tom's nephew invited me over to play Apples to Apples tonight! It wasn't just any Apples to Apples, it was the Disney version!

It was super fun and I was the winner! Yahoooooo!

Had my final fantasy football draft tonight! I'm crazy and playing in 4 leagues!

So excited for the season to start! Wahoooooo!

New toys!

 
As if Jacoby doesn't have enough toys, I got him a Halloween toy (it's a Jack o'lantern)! It's a bit early but they had them at the pet store and they were too cute to avoid! Plus they were right next to the check out area! haha!

Went running in the morning then went to eat breakfast at Bill's! After that it was a day full of nothing! Just the way I like to spend my days off! haha!

Yosemite Day 3!

It was our final day in Yosemite and we had to leave with a bang...so we had a BBQ! My mom made korean short ribs for us! She made a ton! Everyone enjoyed them!

Afterwards we made our trek back home! Bye bye Yosemite!

Yosemite Day 2!

Today we went to see the sequoia trees! Tom and I went with his sister, brother in law, and their adorable 2 boys and I must say the trees were magnificent! But the highlight of the day was how dirty the boys got, especially the younger one! haha!

Afterwards we got to lounge around and prepare for the all you can eat BBQ at the hotel! It was delicious and I ate way too much!

Then it was time for more drinking and playing Apples to Apples! haha!

Yosemite Day 1!

Went to Yosemite for Labor Day weekend with Tom and his family! We stayed at the Wawona Hotel and it was wonderful! This was our view from the porch of the hotel!

Love free swag!

Went to DreamForce today for work! It's a Salesforce.com convention and it was huge! They took up all 3 Moscone Center buildings and had 40k+ people! We got the free tickets to just the keynote speech and the Expo hall so we missed out on all the really cool stuff like the Metallica concert and the Will.i.am after party! I must convince my company to pay for the conference so I can go to all the cool events!

Regardless, we still got plenty of cool free stuff from all the booths! My favorite was the unicorn stuffed animal and the nifty fleece blanket!
