BEAT NY!

I went to the A's game in hopes that they could beat NY! Alas, it wasn't meant to be! (Do people still say alas? Haha!)

There were wayyyy too many Yankees fans for my liking and they were all so smug. Ugh made me sick to my stomach! Good thing I love ballpark food and was able to keep it all down! Haha!

Jacoby loves when I have days off!

 

Spent my day off hanging with Jacoby. I gave Jacoby a new toy, which he loved, then took him to the park and let him run around. After the park adventure, we went to the pet store to buy him new treats! Great day to be a dog! haha!

Sunday dinner!

Went to Tom's parents' house for Sunday dinner! Tom brought some Cowgirl Cremery cheese which was delish! Loved the sharp cheddar cheese.

It was a great day for BBQ so they had grilled up some artichokes for appetizers and Tom attempted to grill oysters but that didn't work out well. Haha! For the main course, we had grilled beef along with all the fixings.

I love 3 day weekends! Knowing I can sleep in on Monday makes me so happy!

Mushroom Mardi Gras!

Went to the Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras today with Kat. It was quite the adventure, as it always is with the 2 of us!








Got some good bbq and some beer and wine in our cute souvenir glasses. But after a quick walk around there wasn't much going on, so we went through downtown Morgan Hill to find a bar.

We found a super divey bar and then found another divey Mexican restaurant. They did have potent margaritas! Which is always a plus!

Picnic Day!

Friday 05.27.11 was my company's first annual Picnic Day! Not only did we have a bbq but we also had a relay race! Unfortunately, the sales/admin team came in last place! haha! I thought since I designed the race, we would have an edge, but that was the exact opposite! Had tons of food and was a really fun time! Looking forward to more picnic days!

FInally went to Yardhouse!

Had dinner with Kim and Nick at Yardhouse in Santana Row! It was great seeing them! We did have to wait 1.5 hours but while we were waiting, Kim and I went to get a drink so the wait didn't seem so bad. I can't believe it's still so crowded there!

This isn't the greatest picture but at least we're all in it! I'm red and have scary demon eyes, and Nick looks like he's super miserable! Kim, as always, looks beautiful and puts the rest of us to shame! haha!

Slow day!

Nothing really happened today!

I resumed my P90X workout after skipping a day and my dog stared at me while I did embarrassing workout moves! haha! I think it still works even if you skip days in between right?

Also, wasn't the Sox win this morning (afternoon) the bestest ever? Yay!

Girls Night In!

Went to Kat's place to have dinner and hang out. We were trying to be healthy so we had salads and some crackers and cheese. We did however have 2 bottles of wine! haha! Sadly we didn't finish all of the wine. How disappointing!

Sidenote: Cupcake Red Velvet wine was delish! Definitely recommend it!

P90X!

So yesterday I started P90X! Today was the second day and I think I'm really liking it. It's intense but it's do-able. Also since I'm just starting to get the hang of it, I don't think my I'm putting 100% effort yet so I don't feel like dying. I have heard a lot of horror stories but I think I can stick it out!

Haha!

Finally saw Bridesmaids tonight and it was as funny as people were saying! It was more crude than I expected but in the funniest way possible!

Prior to the movie, went to watch the Sox game at the restaurant next to the movie theater. Wake pitched awesome! I'm glad I got to watch most of the game. Still bummed I couldn't watch yesterday's game with the throwback jerseys! Stupid Fox!

We survived the rapture!

Jacoby went to the groomers today to prepare for the rapture! haha! Okay it was just coincidence that his appointment was today but I did learn something. Never schedule a grooming appointment at 7am on a Saturday!

Lobster Part 2!

Had a wonderful Friday 05.20.11! Eating a whole lobster last week apparently wasn't enough! Tom and I went to the Chowder truck to get lobster rolls and clam chowder! This is one of my favorite food trucks. The lobster was fresh and the bun was nice and buttery! Yummmy!

Afterwards, we went bar hopping around downtown San Jose. What a great evening!

I love walk off wins!!!

Holy moly! Tonight was the 3rd walk off for Crawford this month!

That makes 6 wins in a row!!!!

Troublemaker!

As I was making my own homemade bootcamp class (more on that in a bit), my dog decided to cause a ruckus! That's him attacking the couch cushion!

  

So I blogged about an article that I read for work about exercising while watching TV. Basically, you do bootcamp style exercises during commercial breaks. So I did that for 2 shows (1.5 hours). I think I got a good mini workout and I don't feel as lazy! haha!

Office suprises!

I got another surprise in my office when I came to work this morning. Sadly I was so busy with work I didn't notice it until after lunchtime! Someone must've felt I needed to support the SJ Earthquakes more and put a big magnet on my cabinet. Hmm...I wonder who that is??? I guess it'll be a mystery! ;)

Who doesn't love new toys?

Got Jacoby a new toy today! He loved it of course and went crazy when I gave it him. And as you can see in the picture he's guarding his old toys while playing with his new toy! Spoiled dog! haha!

Today's Red Sox win was AMAZING!!! What a comeback! I knew this season was going to be special and I think after the Yankees sweep and this comeback win...it really is starting to be a special season!

LOBSTER!

After I recovered from my hangover from Saturday night, Tom and I went up to Half Moon Bay for the first annual Lobster fest! It was a beautiful day and we got to eat some really good food and listen to some questionable rock music!

There were tons of people and they ran out of lobsters about an hour and half into the event!

Also...sweeping the Yankees at their stadium is freaking AWESOME!!!! ::dances::

Girls Night Out!

On Saturday 04.14.11 I went out with Kat and had wayyyyy too much fun! Had dinner and went bar hopping in dtsj and had quite the adventure!

 

As we were bar hopping, it started pouring! Luckily a guy gave us his umbrella! We never made it to the bar that we had planned on going to...instead we ran around downtown with our new umbrella!

"We are so fun!" Haha!

Friday the 13th!

Tom and I made a risotto for dinner tonight! It was actually a healthy version with asparagus, peas, and spinach so I could feel good eating a lot!

Red Sox beat the Yankees! Wahooooooooo! Happy day!

Google knows everything!

Blogger was down yesterday (Thursday 05.12.11) so I couldn't post my picture!

So yesterday, I was forced to go to an author book reading/signing that I had never heard of...Isabel Allende. However, after googling her and also checking some of her books out, I was glad I went. There were a ton of people at the event but Isabel walked around to greet everyone. I even got to meet her! She was very nice and I learned that one of her books was selected for Oprah's Book Club.

Beer is allowed on a diet right?

Today was such a long day (and the Sox lost...BOOOOO!) that I figured I deserved a beer!

However, I think that goes against my diet detox!

It's just one beer! One beer never hurt anyone! Haha!





I did make a bet with a friend to see who could be the most fit by the end of the month. This isn't helping my chances but I'm determined to win! 

Diet Detox!

This is my lunch for the rest of the week! I feel like I've been eating very unhealthy lately so I'm going on a diet!

However, if I'm cranky this week, then you'll know why!

P.S. The Red Sox can't seem to get to .500! Very frustrating!

I love wine!

On Monday 05.09.11 went to the Winemakers event at Santana Row! Got to try a lot of different wines and sample really tasty food! Each restaurant had a different winery which featured 2 wines and paired with a couple of appetizers! I can't wait to go back next year! haha!

Mother's Day Extravaganza Part 2!

For mother's day, my brother and I made frutti di mare! It was a big hit and I think I ate way more pasta than anyone should! haha! Also had lots of wine which makes any dinner great!

(For full disclosure, we actually had dinner Saturday night instead of Sunday!)

Mother's Day Extravangza Part 1!

On Saturday 05.07.11 my brother and I made my mom french toast for a pre Mother's Day treat! We used the delicious Greenlees Cinnamon bread and topped it with fresh strawberries, sliced almonds, and some powdered sugar! It was yummy! What a great way to start the Mother's Day celebration!

Where have you been all my life?

I can't believe it took me this long to try Greenlees Cinnamon Bread! It is soooo good! It's also from a local bakery! I can't wait to use it to make french toast tomorrow morning!

Cinco de Mayo! Yay! An excuse to eat really good Mexican food and drink margaritas! Well I didn't have a margarita but had something almost as good! Super chevelas!

Tuesday 05.03.11, I got to work to see flowers on my desk! What a wonderful surprise!

I can't believe Tom and I have been dating for 11 months already! Time flies! Here's to many more months!

Date Night!

Tom and I went to try out a new restaurant tonight for dinner called Tigelleria Organic Restaurant in downtown Campbell. My favorite part about the dinner was the charcuterie plate! A plate of meat and cheese along with some great jams with a bottle of a nice wine...what's not to like! Honorable mention goes to the affagato dessert! Yummy!

 

P.S. I was happy with the Red Sox walk off win (Yay Lowrie and Crawford! And yay for the sun helping out!) but Bin Laden dead?! WOW! What a monumental night! I can't believe it!

March of Dimes Walk!

Saturday 04.30.11 was finally the March of Dimes walk! Had a great day with my mom and Jacoby. I love that the walk is family and dog friendly! The weather was wonderful and Vasona Park is very lovely. They had lots of booths set up with free swag along with free breakfast and lunch. Jacoby loved being outdoors all day and we actually got tired before he did!
